AI Exposes What Was Never There

In professional kitchens, 86'd means something is off the menu. The kitchen ran out, or the chef pulled it. But nobody told the servers. So a server promises it to a table, walks back to the pass, and finds out it does not exist anymore. The kitchen knows. The floor does not. The customer is waiting. Most teams work like this. Years of intuition passing as a system. Who knows what, who handles what, how things flow. Nobody writes it down. After enough time together, everyone just knows. Then AI shows up. Capable, fast, and utterly unaware of the invisible system it just walked into. Except here is the uncomfortable part: there was no system. There never was. Everyone was just good enough to cover for it. I have been thinking about this a lot lately.
